Other than written reports and parent-teacher conferences, reporting to parents will also take the form of students’ e-Portfolio where their learning progress and products are documented. Students will be trained to report to parents with their work as evidence of learning through student-led conferences.

Systematic testing and surveying will take place using criterion-referenced materials. Results, in addition to individual goal-setting, will be analysed for programming needs.  Individual goal setting would be possible through students’ learning portfolio where their progress in learning and participation in school activities are recorded. 

Chinese Academy takes the approach of continuous assessment where in-depth formative and summative assessment on students’ growth and learning would be conducted. Information collected would provide useful reference for teachers and parents in determining educational and intervention strategies. 

Assessment would take many forms including anecdotal records, checklists, observations and portfolio. Timely, specific feedback coupled with constructive advice would encourage students to set realistic goals for next steps.
